Dr. <\/span>Mehdi <\/span>Pirsalehi, <\/span>Head <\/span>of <\/span>the <\/span>Food <\/span>and <\/span>Drug <\/span>Administration: <\/span>The <\/span>country’s <\/span>pharmaceutical <\/span>market <\/span>reached <\/span>220 <\/span>trillion <\/span>tomans <\/span>last <\/span>year. <\/span>In <\/span>fact, <\/span>the <\/span>real <\/span>figures <\/span>show $<\/span>2.5 <\/span>billion <\/span>in <\/span>imports <\/span>of <\/span>raw <\/span>materials <\/span>and <\/span>medicines.<\/span><\/p>\n

If <\/span>the <\/span>domestic <\/span>producers <\/span>of <\/span>raw <\/span>materials <\/span>didn\u2019t <\/span>exist, <\/span>the <\/span>industry <\/span>would <\/span>have <\/span>faced <\/span>even <\/span>greater <\/span>challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

We <\/span>hope <\/span>that <\/span>the <\/span>seventh <\/span>edition <\/span>of <\/span>Pharmex <\/span>will <\/span>be <\/span>held <\/span>with <\/span>even <\/span>greater <\/span>strength.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pharmex <\/span>is <\/span>considered <\/span>the <\/span>main <\/span>exhibition <\/span>in <\/span>the <\/span>raw <\/span>materials <\/span>industry, <\/span>and <\/span>we <\/span>hope <\/span>the <\/span>goals <\/span>of <\/span>this <\/span>event <\/span>and <\/span>the <\/span>industry <\/span>will <\/span>be <\/span>achieved.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>seventh <\/span>development <\/span>plan <\/span>has <\/span>forecasted $<\/span>2 <\/span>billion <\/span>in <\/span>exports <\/span>for <\/span>medicines <\/span>and <\/span>equipment, <\/span>and <\/span>we <\/span>hope <\/span>to <\/span>reach <\/span>this <\/span>target.<\/span><\/p>\n

Holding <\/span>specialized <\/span>exhibitions <\/span>can <\/span>bring <\/span>advantages, <\/span>provided <\/span>all <\/span>capacities <\/span>are <\/span>fully <\/span>utilized.<\/span><\/p>\n
